1. Mount Jacob Backtrack

2. Bolla Bollana Springs Self-Drive Tour

  • Location: Arkaroola, Flinders Ranges
  • Difficulty: Easy to Intermediate
  • Best Time: Year-round
This 4-hour self-drive tour takes you through the Pinnacles, Bolla Bollana Springs, and Nooldoonooldoona Waterhole. It’s a more relaxed track with beautiful scenery and is perfect for a family outing or a picnic.

   

3. Arden Hills 4WD Track

  • Location: Near Quorn, Flinders Ranges
  • Difficulty: Advanced
  • Best Time: Year-round
The Arden Hills 4WD Track offers panoramic views of Lake Torrens, Mount Remarkable, the Willochra Plain, and Wilpena Pound. The track features frequent changes in elevation along the ridgeline and is recommended for experienced drivers.    

4. Nuccaleena Ruins Drive

  • Location: Near Moolooloo, Flinders Ranges
  • Difficulty: Intermediate
  • Best Time: Year-round
The Nuccaleena Ruins Drive takes you through Parachilna Gorge and past the historic Nuccaleena Mine. This 6-hour drive offers a mix of natural beauty and historical exploration, making it a unique experience.    

5. Horseshoe Range

  • Location: Near Quorn, Flinders Ranges
  • Difficulty: Intermediate to Advanced

Known as a miniature Wilpena Pound, the Horseshoe Range features a range of tracks from intermediate to advanced. The area offers excellent mountain biking and hiking options alongside 4WD tracks.

Ngarkat Conservation Park offers routes through dunes and bushland. The Centre Track is easier, while the Border Track provides a challenging 50km drive along the boundary between Victoria and South Australia.
