1KD/2KD HP4 Overdrive Kit 1:1 Ratio - Toyota Hilux Vigo / Vigo Champ N70, Fortuner & Prado 120/150

On a stock 1KD or 2KD the high pressure pump turns at half engine speed. Once you fit bigger injectors or nozzles, the pump can't keep up and rail pressure falls away at higher RPM. This overdrive kit drives the pump at a 1:1 ratio, so it turns at crank speed and delivers roughly twice the pump strokes per engine revolution. The result is rail pressure that holds right through the rev range.

Fitment

Suits Toyota Hilux Vigo and Vigo Champ (N70 Hilux, KUN26 / KUN16, 2004-2015), first generation Fortuner (KUN60 / KUN51, 2005-2015) and Landcruiser Prado KDJ120 / KDJ150 (2002-2015) with the 1KD-FTV 3.0L or 2KD-FTV 2.5L D-4D engine. Designed for engines running an HP4 high pressure pump.

Install notes

• High pressure pump not included
• Pump wiring needs extending and the pump-to-rail line needs to be made or modified
• A custom ECU tune is required to control rail pressure
• Workshop installation recommended
