Genuine Toyota full gasket set for the 1KD-FTV 3.0L turbo diesel, the seals and gaskets you need for a head job or a full rebuild, supplied by Toyota rather than an aftermarket copy.
The head gasket is not included — and that is deliberate
The 1KD-FTV uses five different head gasket thicknesses, graded A to E. The right one is not decided by model or build year. It is decided by measuring piston protrusion above the deck once the engine is apart, taking the largest reading of the four, and matching it to the corresponding grade:

Because the grade can only be chosen once the engine is stripped and measured, Toyota supplies the head gasket as a separate part. A kit that bundles one fixed thickness is guessing on your behalf and the wrong thickness changes your compression ratio and piston-to-valve clearance.

Head bolts are single-use
The 1KD-FTV uses torque-to-yield head bolts — 85 Nm, then a further 90° twice. Once stretched they should not go back in. Order a fresh set at the same time; it is cheap insurance against pulling the head off twice.

Why genuine
Gaskets and seals are the cheapest parts in a rebuild and the most expensive to get wrong a weeping rear main or a leaking oil cooler seal means the engine comes back out. We stock the Toyota set because we build 1KD engines ourselves and would rather not do the job twice.
