Intake Clean Gasket Kit - Toyota Land Cruiser 1VD-FTV V8 - 70 Series & 200 Series

Everything you need to pull the intake down, clean it out and seal it back up on a 1VD-FTV V8. One kit, both 70 Series and 200 Series.

Every 1VD does this

The EGR feeds soot straight back into the intake, and on a 1VD it packs in hard. We have seen the runners noticeably choked from as little as 15,000 km. It does not clear itself, it does not burn off, and no additive poured in the tank will touch it the only fix is to take the intake off and physically clean it out.

What you get back is throttle response, boost response and fuel economy that the engine had when it was new. If yours feels lazy and you cannot find a fault, this is usually why.

Do it before, not after

Two jobs where it is worth cleaning the intake first:

• Before new injectors. No point putting fresh injectors behind a choked intake.
• Before any performance work. A turbo upgrade cannot flow through carbon. Clean it out first and you will actually see what the new hardware is doing.
