Manta 2.5in Exhaust - Nissan Patrol GU Y61 4.2L TD42T Turbo Diesel Wagon 1997-2007

The 4.2L TD42T is one of the great Australian four-wheel-drive engines, and it will take everything you give it. The factory exhaust is not one of those things. A 2.5in Manta system lets it breathe properly and takes a good chunk of heat out of the equation.

Choosing your system

• Cat Back — everything from the catalytic converter back. The factory cat and engine pipe stay where they are, so it is the simplest road-legal way to open the exhaust up.
• Full System — the lot, from the engine back, including extractors where they are part of the kit. This is where the real gains are.

Aluminised or stainless

• Aluminised Steel — Manta's standard. Aluminium-silicon coated steel, pressed and mandrel-bent the same as the stainless, and it will give you years of service in normal conditions. Best value of the two.
• Stainless Steel — 409 stainless. Worth the jump if you live near the coast, spend time in mud and dust, or do river crossings. It will comfortably outlast the truck.

Fitment

Nissan Patrol GU/Y61, TD42T, 1997 to 2007. Bolts to the factory mounting points and uses the standard hangers — no cutting or welding.

2.5in pipe throughout, and every bend is mandrel-formed. A mandrel bend holds its full diameter around the corner instead of crushing down the way press-bent tube does, which is the whole point of fitting a bigger system in the first place.
