Manta 3in Turbo Back Exhaust - Volkswagen Amarok 2H TDI400 TDI420 2.0L Bi-Turbo Diesel 2012-2022

The 2.0L bi-turbo Amarok is a small engine moving a heavy ute, which is exactly why the exhaust matters more here than it would on the V6. These are the June 2012 onwards cars. Manta give you a choice of rear exit - dump at the diff to keep everything short and tucked up, or an extended tailpipe carried out past it - and a choice of how much muffling you want. Read the note below on the DPF before you order.

Choosing your system

• DPF Replacement - With Cat — replaces the DPF section and keeps a catalytic converter in the system. Off-road and competition use only.
• Turbo Back (dump at diff) — everything behind the turbo, exiting ahead of the rear diff. Short, tucked up and out of the way on a ute that sees real terrain.
• Turbo Back (extended tailpipe) — everything behind the turbo, with the tailpipe carried past the diff to a conventional rear exit.

Before you order — the DPF

Both turbo-back systems here start ahead of the factory DPF, so the filter is replaced rather than retained - as is the DPF Replacement option. On a road-registered vehicle that is not legal in any Australian state and it may affect your warranty. Give us a call before you order if you are not sure which side of that line your build sits on.

Aluminised or stainless

• Stainless Steel — 409 stainless. Worth the jump if you live near the coast, spend time in mud and dust, or do river crossings. It will comfortably outlast the ute.
• Aluminised Steel — Manta's standard. Aluminium-silicon coated steel, pressed and mandrel-bent the same as the stainless, and it will give you years of service in normal conditions. Best value of the two.

How loud do you want it

• Quiet — the most muffling Manta offers. Deeper and cleaner than factory, but still civil on a long highway run.
• Medium — a resonator in place of one of the mufflers. More note when you get into it, without the drone that ruins a road trip.

Fitment

Volkswagen Amarok 2H/TDI400/TDI420, 2.0L Bi-Turbo TDI, 2012 to 2022. Bolts to the factory mounting points and uses the standard hangers — no cutting or welding.

3in pipe throughout, and every bend is mandrel-formed. A mandrel bend holds its full diameter around the corner instead of crushing down the way press-bent tube does, which is the whole point of fitting a bigger system in the first place.
