VDJ79 V8 4.5L TD, (DPF) Single & Dual Cab Ute Oct 2016 To Current, Superior Coil Conversion, Turbo Back / DPF Back Exhaust
Description
Complete Manta "turbo back" or "DPF back" exhaust system to suit the Toyota Landcruiser VDJ79 Single & Dual Cab 4.5L 1VD V8 Turbo Diesel Ute (with DPF), Oct 2016 onwards, specifically designed for vehicles fitted with the Superior Engineering coil conversion - 4" fully mandrel bent stainless steel tubing.
This system is built to clear the Superior Engineering coil conversion, so it will not fit a standard leaf-sprung VDJ79. Choose your system type, material and configuration below.
Description
The 1VD V8 4.5L common rail turbo diesel in the 70 Series Landcruiser has forged itself a reputation as a tough off-roader, with truck-like power and a fantastic amount of torque right from the word go. Off the factory floor the Landcruiser is shackled by a very restrictive standard exhaust, and the factory DPF adds further restriction again.
Running full 4in mandrel bent stainless steel piping, this Manta system is available in a number of configurations, so you can have an exhaust note close to the factory level, go all out with a wild unmuffled V8 bark, or find a happy medium in between. A twin 4in tailpipe version is also available for an upgrade in looks and sound.
Turbo back - please read
The turbo back systems replace the entire factory exhaust from the turbo face back, including the DPF, and require an ECU recalibration. Removing the DPF makes the vehicle non-compliant for road use, so these systems are sold for off-road or race use only. If you want to keep the factory DPF in place, choose one of the DPF back systems instead.
