What’s the difference between the types of Turbos?

Typically, there are 3 tiers of performance capabilities with our turbos. The associated size determines the capabilities. Green/Red/Blue wheels are more responsive in the low rpm with the Blue’s targeting comparatively high boost response for the size. G250/300/320 – Green/Gold Wheel GTurbos

The Grunter series was designed to cater to those looking for towing performance. Individuals such as farmers, tradies, recreational users who typically prefer earlier than factory boost response and strong torque in the lower 40-60% of the engines rev range. As an example, if your engine operates to 4000rpm, this would be the 1600-2400rpm range.

 G350 – Red Wheel GTurbos

The Red Wheel series was designed to cater to those looking for well rounded performance with optimal drivability (such as Work/labour uses but also recreational). Typically a G350 customer would prefer similar to factory boost response as possible whilst having the strongest possible torque in the 50-80% rev range. As an example, if your engine operates to 4000rpm, this would be the 2000-3600rpm range.

G400 – Blue and Titanium GTurbos

The Blue and Titanium series was designed to cater to those looking for outright performance with optimal drivability (such as sporting uses but also recreational). Typically a G400 customer would prefer as close to factory boost response as possible whilst having the strongest possible torque in the 50-100% rev range. As an example, if your engine operates to 4000rpm, this would be the 2000-4000rpm range.
