Genuine Aisin H152 5-Speed Manual Gearbox - Toyota Landcruiser VDJ76 VDJ78 VDJ79 V8 2007-2024

The H152 is the five-speed manual Aisin builds for the 1VD-FTV V8 70 Series Landcruiser. This is a new genuine unit bought as a service part, not a rebuild, so nothing inside it has already done a hundred thousand kilometres of towing.

There are two reasons people fit one. The first is a gearbox that has given up. A 70 Series that spends its life loaded, towing, or in low range will eventually go through synchros and bearings, and past a certain point a new box is cheaper and more honest than another rebuild. The second is gearing. The H152 runs a taller second and a taller top gear than the older H150, so the same road speed sits at lower revs on the highway. It is quieter, easier on fuel, and a good deal less tiring on a long run.

Before you order - This is the gearbox on its own. No transfer case, no clutch, no flywheel, no bellhousing hardware. If yours is coming out because it failed, price a clutch at the same time. The labour is already paid for once the box is on the ground, and putting a worn clutch back against a new gearbox is a false economy.

Fitment

Toyota Landcruiser 70 Series, 4.5L 1VD-FTV V8 turbo diesel, 2007-2024. Manual transmission only.

Specific fitment: VDJ76 Wagon, VDJ78 Troop Carrier and VDJ79 Ute in both Single and Dual Cab, across the Pre-ABS, ABS Pre-DPF, Pre-DPF and DPF variants.

It is a direct fit on 2016 and later vehicles. On earlier 70 Series it goes in as either a straight replacement or a gearing upgrade, but the surrounding hardware changed more than once across that run - call us with your build date and VIN before you order and we will confirm the right box for your truck.
