Genuine Toyota Exhaust Manifold Stud & Nut Kit - 1KD-FTV - Hilux, Prado & HiAce

Eight genuine Toyota exhaust manifold studs and eight nuts for the 1KD-FTV 3.0L. M10 x 1.25. Factory references: stud 90116-10171, nut 90179-10128.

Replace them, do not reuse them

Manifold studs on a 1KD live under constant heat cycling with road grime packed around the threads. They seize, and a seized stud does not undo, it snaps, usually flush with the head. Then you are drilling and extracting out of a cylinder head that is still in the truck.

Any time that manifold comes off, the studs get replaced. We pull them constantly doing turbo work, and a fresh set every time is the cheapest insurance on the job.

Fitting notes

• Cold engine only.
• Run a tap through the head threads before the new studs go in, carbon in the hole gives a false torque reading.
• Torque evenly from the centre out, to the figure in the factory manual for your engine.
• Recheck after a few heat cycles.
