PDI Torsen LSD - Landcruiser 80 Rear / 60 Front and Rear
Description
A Torsen differential splits torque toward the wheel with grip, mechanically, without a clutch pack to wear out. That is the key difference from a factory LSD: a factory unit typically wants rebuilding somewhere between 5,000km and 50,000km depending on how hard it is worked, and replacement clutch packs are not cheap or quick to get. A Torsen just keeps doing the same thing.
PDI have been supplying these for Landcruisers for years, including in their own vehicles, which is where the on-road traction problem showed up in the first place.
Fitment
80 Series rear, and 60 Series front and rear. 30 spline.
Manufactured by Performance Diesel Intercoolers. Supplied and backed by GTurbo.
