Summary
This specification targets great mid and top-end response and the ability to make class-leading power, often exceeding the modified six-cylinder and V8 engines. The G320 Gold has a high-flow turbine wheel, a larger and more efficient compressor wheel, upgraded thrust bearings, 30% stronger main shaft, higher efficiency and a higher temperature-rated VNT system. Its design boost is 34psi and can be operated efficiently from 10 – 37psi.
Performance Expectations
Standard the 1KD-FTV produces 343/400nm of engine torque and 92-96rwkw. With the standard injection pump and +60% GTurbo injectors, typically this is increased to around 180-220rwkW, and torque is typically increased to 700nm+ depending on the year of the vehicle. Installations with a high flow injection pump or overdrive kit, large intercooler, 3” exhaust and upgraded injectors have yielded results as high as 230rwkw and torque over 900nm at the crankshaft.

Common supporting modifications
Exhaust upgrade, front mount intercooler, upgraded air filter, and high-flow injectors. Manual gearboxes require a top-spec clutch, and automatic gearboxes require a shift kit installed.
