Introducing the GTurbo VDTT-G450 Titans for the VDJ200, the next evolution in high-output turbocharger performance, replacing the renowned G450VDTT Red. Engineered for exceptional low-end torque, strong mid-range acceleration, and sustained high-boost capability, the VDTT-G450 Titans are designed to deliver serious performance while maintaining durability and reliability under extreme operating conditions.
Key Features:
Advanced Aerodynamics:
The VDTT-G450 Titans incorporate revised aerodynamic profiling to optimise airflow and compressor efficiency. The result is stronger mid-range torque, improved high-rpm performance, and enhanced overall engine response.
Lower Inertia:
Reduced rotational mass allows for faster spool characteristics and improved transient response, delivering boost earlier and more progressively under load.
Super Alloy Construction:
The compressor wheel is manufactured from a high-strength super alloy, engineered to withstand elevated shaft speeds and high boost pressures without compromising structural integrity.
TITAN Coating:
The compressor wheel features an aerospace-grade ultra-hard non-stick coating. This advanced surface treatment reduces friction, improves resistance to heat and corrosion, and enhances long-term durability.
Upgraded Turbine & VNT System:
A revised turbine profile combined with GTurbo’s custom VNT calibration provides improved boost control, stronger upper-rpm airflow, and stable high-load performance.
Performance Expectations:
The VDTT-G450 Titans designed boost rating is 35psi, operating efficiently from 16–36psi up to approximately 3200rpm (at <40°C turbo intake air temperature and >95kPa turbo intake air pressure). Boost levels of 30psi are typically achievable from around 1750rpm when the tune and supporting modifications are complementary. Accurate tuning is essential for reliability, efficiency, and performance.
Standard performance for the VDJ200 series is approximately 550Nm of wheel torque and 155rwkW. With a set of VDTT-G450 Titans combined with a custom remap, you can expect around 900Nm of engine torque and approximately 230rwkW.
Installations of GTurbo Airbox, GTurbo Intercooler Fan Kit or large intercooler, 3” exhaust and upgraded injectors have yielded results as high as 320+rwkw and torque 1200nm at the wheels.
Please note that the performance figures are based on using a turbo-back exhaust system. Performance will be slightly lower if the DPF is retained.
Supporting Modifications:
Common supporting modifications include a GTurbo Airbox, GTurbo Intercooler Fan kit or PDI Front mount intercooler, exhaust upgrade and GTurbo high-flow injectors.
